The craftsman behind the cover

Ethan Hardy, craftsman at Ex Fide Bibles and Stationery

Chesapeake, Virginia

Ethan Hardy

Ethan Hardy is a leather craftsman based in Chesapeake, Virginia and the founder of Ex Fide Bibles and Stationery. When he was personally shopping for a Bible rebind, he was discouraged by how quickly the final bill would compound — add-ons and fees stacking up far beyond the advertised price. He started Ex Fide with a different conviction: offer a lot at the stated price, with no hidden fees. That conviction is captured in a phrase he has made his own: "The Every Man's Bible Rebinder." Every rebind is treated as a labor of love, carefully built to outlast the original cover.

The Name

Ex Fide is Latin for "From Faith." It reflects both the faith that drives the work and the trust a customer places in handing over a cherished Bible.
